Haiku Tag

From a community on Live Journal called haikusun. (See it here ) The "game" is to write a haiku that starts with the last line of the previous one.

The community has adopted a relaxed definition of "haiku" - rather than insisting on the 5-7-5 syllabic structure they allow any form that has the feel of a haiku. Initially I thought this was a bad idea but, having seen the resulting verse, I have changed my mind.

The Haiku on this page are the intellectual property of their authors, as identified by the tag line. They are Copyright material even if the author has not explicitly claimed that copyright. If you would like to reproduce any of the Haiku then please contact the author directly to get their permission.

This page is divide as follows: -

Section 1: Table of links to parts of the Haiku tree.

Section 2: Biographies, notes and links to the authors.

Section 3: The Haiku Tree itself.

evilbigbrother evilbigbrother (SW Burlingame) is a resident of the great northwoods of Wisconsin. After taking a 10 year hiatus from writing poetry he is determined to get back into writing again. Very new to the art of Haiku, he finds that it helps him to sharpen his writing skills, and that it is very addicting. In fact after discovering Haiku he has had a hard time writing much else... but he's OK with that. =)
His journal is "friends only" for the most part, but new friends are always welcome.

petersheil Peter is a 49 year old computer consultant with a wide range of interests. He came across haiku several years ago and found them a huge revelation. He had never been able to express emotions very easily and found writing the hardest way. (This probably goes back to his scientific bias at school and college.) He found haiku were a shaft of sunlight, enabling him to write emotions on a page (or now screen) in a compact form. He still feel slightly embarrassed when people compliment him on his work, but he's trying to come to terms with this.
You can see his personal journal here if you want to find out a bit more about him.
Oh yes, he also wrote the page you're reading right now.

photodharma photodharma is a middle school language arts teacher in CT. His photo/art site is (big surprise) http://www.photodharma.com. More of his poetry can be found on http://www.school-library.net/, a site he maintains with academic resources and advocacy for open source software in schools. His personal on-line journal is here.
